Kilis
Kilis is an ancient city, located in middle south east of Turkey at at Syrian
border with population of about 70.000. People consist of mostly Oguz Turks
belong to Kayı family who founded Ottoman Empire. Mediterranian climate is
experienced having winters warm and rainy with min -4 Celcius degree and max 40
Celcius degree in summers. Agriculturing of olive and grape are widely occupied.
Kilis is surrounded by Gaziantep and Syria. 60 km from Gaziantep and 70 km from
Aleppo. Since increasing of the population agricultural areas are being
constantly destroyed by municipality and other entities.
a major trading city which was thriving more than 2500 years ago.
